I have been deeply involved with music since my childhood and have been playing the guitar since 2010. I am very passionate about everything related to music and technology, so being a part of this project is truly an honour.

Elena is a music technology PhD student at NYU's Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL). Her research is in human-centered MIR, and she works on projects related to vocals and sound recording/production. Elena has been involved with the ISMIR community since 2018, and is happy to be helping out this year.

I am a final-year BTech student of Computer Science and Engineering at PES University, Bangalore, India. My interests lie in machine learning and deep learning, especially at the intersection of artificial intelligence and creativity. I play the Saraswathi Veena, a South Indian classical instrument, and was previously trained as a Carnatic vocalist. I am really happy to be a part of this event as it combines my love for music and ML!

I have been focusing my research and development efforts on technologies that lie at the confluence of Music Information Retrieval (MIR) and Music Hardware. I have a spiralling passion for Hindustani Classical Music.

I found out about ISMIR this year while working on a project related to studying sentiment in music and its use based on the same and I was very excited to attend and interact with everyone participating and working in this field. Prashant Mishra
Prashant is an audiophile who has worked as an Audio Director for educational games and videos in collaboration with Disney to create IP-specific sonic experiences, during which he created voice based apps. He helped in setting up and scaling the sound department at the ed-tech unicorn, BYJU'S, since 2015 for their entire catalogue of projects. He is now building audio products with companies such as Soundly, and hosts games, spatial & interactive audio training sessions.

Rhythm is a masters' student researcher at Georgia Tech Centre for Music Technology specializing in computational ethnomusicology, cross cultural music perception and music transcription. She has worked with audio, symbolic music and with human perception of music. She is a Hindustani vocalist, plays the guitar and enjoys building interactive music systems.

Rohit is a PhD student in speech and hearing science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has a background in audio signal processing and obtained his master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, developing algorithms in machine listening to solve music information retrieval tasks. His current research interests include speech perception and building computational models of human auditory perception.
