I am currently in my final year of B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Science Engineering in KIIT, Bhubaneswar, India. I have a great affinity towards machine learning, artificial intelligence. I have a deep passion for western and eastern music. The curiosity and passion towards machine learning and music has led me to design this website for this amazing musical conference.

Gowriprasad R is a Ph.D. student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. He is interested in MIR tasks in Indian rhythm. He plays the Indian percussion instrument Tabla.

I am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation in National Institute of Technology, Silchar. I have been deeply involved with music since my childhood and have been playing the guitar since 2010. I am very passionate about everything related to music and technology, so being a part of this project is truly an honour.

Elena Georgieva

Elena is a music technology PhD student at NYU's Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL). Her research is in human-centered MIR, and she works on projects related to vocals and sound recording/production. Elena has been involved with the ISMIR community since 2018, and is happy to be helping out this year.

Vibha Masti

I am a final-year BTech student of Computer Science and Engineering at PES University, Bangalore, India. My interests lie in machine learning and deep learning, especially at the intersection of artificial intelligence and creativity. I play the Saraswathi Veena, a South Indian classical instrument, and was previously trained as a Carnatic vocalist. I am really happy to be a part of this event as it combines my love for music and ML!

Suraj Jaiswal

I am currently a Research Associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. I have been focusing my research and development efforts on technologies that lie at the confluence of Music Information Retrieval (MIR) and Music Hardware. I have a spiralling passion for Hindustani Classical Music.

I am a final year undergrad of Electronics and Communication Engineering at PES University. My interests lie in the areas of Machine Learning at the Edge, Digital Signal Processing and Hardware Acceleration. I am glad to be a part of the event and looking forward to working with you all !!!

I am currently a senior undergraduate pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at PES University, Bangalore. I found out about ISMIR this year while working on a project related to studying sentiment in music and its use based on the same and I was very excited to attend and interact with everyone participating and working in this field. I love thinking about how AI can support artists in their work! I also dabble in photography and video editing.

Vishruth Veerendranath

I am a final-year Computer Science and Engineering student at PES University, Bangalore. I am interested in applications of Deep Learning for creative applications and more specifically for music. I play the guitar and keyboard, and I have been trying my hand at music production as well recently. Looking forward to volunteering for this event!

I am currently a PhD student at MTG, UPF. My research interests lie in the area of expression analysis of vocal performances. I also like to compose music on the side. I am happy to be part of the team, and looking forward to working with you all!

I am a 4th year Electrical Engineering undergraduate student at IIT Bombay. I am currently working in the domain of Audio Source Separation which includes fields of signal processing and deep learning. I am interested in playing keyboard, trekking, travelling and reading books. Looking forward to work with you all!

Venkatakrishnan V K

I am a final year Aerospace Engineering undergraduate student at IIT Bombay. My interests in technology is predominantly in ML and Deep Learning. To add to my tech interests, I am a pianist with skills in Music Production, Mixing, and have also been learning Hindustani and Carnatic vocals for the past couple of years. I am currently pursuing my MS - Research degree in the Electrical Engineering department at IIT-Kanpur. My research area focuses on applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on Audio and Speech Signal Processing. I am glad to be volunteering for ISMIR 2022 and am looking forward to working with the team.

I am a Ph.D. student in the department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. I have been learning Gurmat Sangeet for the past decade. I have a great interest in the field of machine learning/deep learning for music signal processing. I feel very happy to be a part of this team.

I am an MS research graduate in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering at IIT Mandi. I am currently working on music source separation, especially in Indian Carnatic music and am widely interested in Signal Processing & Deep Learning. Happy to volunteer for the ISMIR 2022 conference!

Prashant Mishra

Prashant is an audiophile who has worked as an Audio Director for educational games and videos in collaboration with Disney to create IP-specific sonic experiences, during which he created voice based apps. He helped in setting up and scaling the sound department at the ed-tech unicorn, BYJU'S, since 2015 for their entire catalogue of projects. He is now building audio products with companies such as Soundly, and hosts games, spatial & interactive audio training sessions.

Kavya Ranjan Saxena

I am a Ph.D. student at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. I am working in the field of music information retrieval (MIR). Looking forward to volunteering for this event!

Nithya Shikarpur

I am a masters student at University of Montreal and Mila and I practice Hindustani vocal music. My research interests include deep learning models for music generation and improvisation, human-computer interaction in the context of music creation and machine learning to aid music learning.

Rhythm Jain

Rhythm is a masters' student researcher at Georgia Tech Centre for Music Technology specializing in computational ethnomusicology, cross cultural music perception and music transcription. She has worked with audio, symbolic music and with human perception of music. She is a Hindustani vocalist, plays the guitar and enjoys building interactive music systems.

Adbhut Vipin Bhardwaj

Adbhut Vipin Bhardwaj is a final year undergraduate student at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He is interested in Machine Learning and Audio processing.

Jom Kuriakose

I am a research scholar in Indian Institute of Technology Madras, working on MIR tasks on percussion instruments in Carnatic music. Really looking forward to meetings and connecting with music researchers from across the globe in ISMIR this time.

Rohit M. A.

Rohit is a PhD student in speech and hearing science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has a background in audio signal processing and obtained his master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, developing algorithms in machine listening to solve music information retrieval tasks. His current research interests include speech perception and building computational models of human auditory perception.

Tirna Ghosh

I am currently pursuing Master's of Data Analytics from Christ University, Bangalore. Since the age of of 5, when I first learnt to sing the first swar of sargam "Sa", I instantly experienced the feeling of ecstasy. And what could be better than to be able to combine both my fields of passion-music and AI and be able to create something phenomenal! ISMIR 2022 is a wonderful opportunity for me and I am more than happy to be a part of it.

I am a 4th Year Undergraduate (Dual degree) student at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science. I am interested in signal processing and machine learning. I am also a music enthusiast and am interested in exploring the applications of signal and ML techniques to music.

I’m currently pursuing my master’s at the University of Pompeu Fabra in Sound and music computing. I’m passionate out making music and audio technologies more accessible. I am a hobby guitarist and i’ve been learning vocals in Carnatic music for the past couple of years.
